EDITORIAL SWINGLEVEND WITH HYPERLINK TO WEBSITE = STILL ADVERTISING!
A fairly general editorial on Q10 refers to a website.
The website advertised PharmaNord’s vitamin product BioQuinon. The audience will obviously make a link: the editiorail will most likely refer to that product.
The Advertising Code Committee has ruled an interesting decision on the 23rd of November.
They decided that the editorials are actually 'advertising'. This is not clear to the reader. Therefore the editorials are misleading and are to be regarded as unfair commercial practices.
Because the 'editorial' also deals with products that can prevent a disease or deficiency this is advertising of a drug directed to the consumer, which is forbidden.
The Swinglevend editions can not be tolerated. The Advertising Code Committee issued a public recommendation not to publish this misleading advertisements any more.
