A reminder because not everyone knows this yet: Last year, the website reviewing system of the KOAG/KAG changed. For all websites of the Code Parties with advertisements for self-medication, health products and medical (self-care) devices a mandatory annual review used to be required. This procedure is now cancelled. New websites are once reviewed preventively. Each year a compliance form has to be signed. Herewith the person responsible for the website commits himself that the website is in accordance with the KOAG / KAG Guidelines. The Inspection Board will of course continue to actively monitor if websites comply with the Guidelines. However, annual renewal is not mandatory.
Furthermore, the admittance of a label, packaging or advertisement that contains a reference to a website, will be handled separately from the procedure for the website. This allows advertisements to be reviewed and approved more quickly.
